Who we are
Unlabelled Kitchen is a food transparency initiative and independent agricultural certification body. We are the data controller for all personal data collected through this website.

What data we collect and why
When you submit a form on this website (newsletter, volunteer, certification application, contact, or vacancy enquiry), we collect:
- Full name - to address you and coordinate with you
- Country of residence - to connect you with volunteers or farmers in your region
- Phone number - for follow-up coordination where necessary
- Email address - to respond to your submission and, where applicable, send newsletters
- Message content - where provided, to understand your enquiry
The legal basis for processing is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given when you voluntarily submit a form.
How your data is stored
Form submissions are stored in Google Sheets, operated by Google LLC (USA). Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, providing an adequate level of protection for transfers of personal data to the United States.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we keep your data
We retain your data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or until you request deletion. Newsletter subscribers are removed upon unsubscribe request. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
Cookies and third-party services
This website uses the following third-party services that may set cookies or load data from external servers:
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 - used on all forms to detect automated bot submissions. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. This is a security measure based on our legitimate interest in protecting our systems. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube embeds - video content embedded from YouTube may set cookies when loaded. We only load YouTube content with your consent. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts - fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may log your IP address. See Google's Privacy Policy.
You can manage your cookie preferences using the consent banner shown on your first visit. Withdrawing consent will prevent YouTube content from loading but will not affect your ability to use forms or read content.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Right of access - request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to rectification - request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure - request deletion of your data
- Right to restrict processing - request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability - receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to withdraw consent - withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
- Right to lodge a complaint - with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl
